Gingham, Leopard & Confetti

Hi Loves!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Mine has been extra busy since it's the last week of the year in retail.  It's been such a fabulous year with an awesome team!  I have also been working on this fun blog post for you. I'm so obsessed with how this photo shoot turned out! I will probably be overgramming the pictures for awhile.

I love a fun statement piece so when I found this ruffle sleeve gingham top I knew I had to have it!  Gingham is such a classic print and one of my favorites.  I love how this top  gives a classic print  a current and trendy vibe with the ruffle sleeves and mock neck.

I thought this pink wall would be perfect to make this top pop.  There is a local boutique that has painted the back of their building with different colored sections.  It's a photographer and bloggers dream spot! Look at the #maudewall tag on instagram  to see all the color choices for back drops.  There were some other girls there using fun balloons and confetti. They were so sweet and gave me some confetti to play with too!

Hope you enjoy this outfit and the fun pictures as much as I do! Have a great rest of your week and a fabulous weekend!

Fashion With a Good Cause

Hello Friends!
This year my goal is to be healthier and get fit.  I know that sounds so cliché, but for me, it's about my autoimmune disease and getting off the chemo meds I was put on last year.  I need to learn to put my health first in my life. I’m getting back on track with my super healthy eating.  If you have any favorite healthy recipes, please share with me!  I am also going to get back into cardio.  I used to run 15 miles a week, and I want to work myself back up to that.  I always use my health as a reason to get out of the habit, but I need to change that and use my health as a reason to do it.  New shoes that support a good cause are always a motivation to start back! There are so many people struggling in the world with all kinds of diseases. So, I try really hard to not let mine get me down! Somewhere, someone out there needs support.

I love when fashion supports a good cause, so I teamed up with LIUID who partnered with Project375.  Project 375 is NY Jets Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall's non-profit organization that sheds light on the stigma surrounding mental health.

Together, they created a shoe to represent the organization and the meaning behind it.  Bright green is the color for Project 375 and is represented on both the men's and women's shoe.  The small speckles on the shoes represent that at first glance everyone looks the same on the surface, but beneath that more than 100 Million Americans are struggling with mental illness. The overall design of the shoe signifies the willingness and ability to see through the stigma surrounding mental illness.

There are a wide range of mental illnesses that affect the mood, thinking and behavior of a person.  A few most common types are depression, anxiety, bipolar, and autism.  50% of mental illnesses start before the age 14! That's just crazy to think about.  17.1 million young people have or have had diagnosable disease.  4,600 young people complete suicide each year.

All facts are from Project 375  (This post was sponsered all opions are my own)

Let's work together to raise awareness about mental health! With each purchase, LIUID will donate $18 to Project 375. I know I will be wearing my shoes to show my support!

Off the shoulder winter look!

Hello Lovelies,
I have been obsessed with the off the shoulder trend for awhile now. I love the way these tops give a fun, sexy feel. What's sexier than showing a little skin?! I turned this trend into a winter look with this off the shoulder top from StyleWe.

This navy blue pinstripe bow top is my new favorite.  I love the details of the top with the bow, pinstripe, and longer length in the back.  I decided to pair it with my white skinnies!

This year I have been wearing my white skinnies all winter long.  It's so refreshing and makes me think of snow! I added my over the knee boots to complete the look.

Below I linked my bow top along with a few of my other favorites. Make sure you pay attention to the sizing.  I am wearing a large in the photos above but it is made to fit a size 4-6.

Hope you have a great week!

Dress + Skirt = Versatility

Hello Friends!
I hope you’re having a great week.  I have been working on this post for awhile now, but I finally decide it was time to post it. Do you have fabulous dresses from all of the holiday activities or just a favorite dress you need a new way to wear?

I love finding new ways to wear items, so I stole this idea from one of my associates at the store. On her very first day of work, she came in wearing a top with the most fun skirt.  I complimented her on how cute her outfit was.  Then she proceeded to tell me her top was actually a dress!

I once wore a sweater over a dress to give the dress a different look, but I never thought about doing the opposite and putting a skirt over a dress. For the past few months, I have been having fun with this idea.  I have a couple of looks below to share with you.

Here, I put a tulle skirt over a plaid shirt dress.  Most of you have seen this outfit all over my Instagram, but I bet you didn’t know the plaid was actually a dress!

For my other look, I wore this simple swing dress and paired it with my black, flippy skirt. This has become one of my favorite outfits. I never would have put these pieces together if my associate didn’t teach me this trick!

Lastly, I know y'all saw this on my Instagram recently.  I took this super fun fringe dress and paired with an off the shoulder sweater.

I hope you loved learning about my new styling trick! Tag me when you try this out. I can’t wait to see!
