Vegas- Recap

Hi Friends!

I have been so busy lately I had to take a couple weeks off from blogging to get everything caught up at my real job.  We also went on a weekend trip to Vegas.  I wanted to share with you my favorite outfits and places to eat! It was my first time going to Vegas and I had a blast!

We stayed at The Venetian and it was gorgeous!!!  Very pretty and romantic for a weekend getaway with the hubby.

Our first full day there we of course went shopping! I bought a necklace from Alex and Ani that I have been eyeing for awhile.  It is versatile so it can be a long necklace or a choker! I also got a new clutch from Nordstrom.  Would you expect anything else from me? Ha! You can never have too many clutches right? But how fab is this one!

I wore my comfy leather pants and my favorite olive tunic.
It was the perfect easy outfit to wear shopping and walking all over the strip.
My leather leggings are from Versona
My Tunic  is from Nordstrom

After shopping we ate the best fried chicken ever at Yardbird! The owner is John Kunkel he used family recipes passed down from his grandmother.  They are known for their upscale southern cuisine.  We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got a few things and split it all.  We had the fried green tomatoes with house smoked pork belly, smoky tomato jam, pimento cheese, frisée lemon vinaigrette.  We also tried their amazing deviled eggs made up of dill chive, smoked trout roe.  Of course we had to eat the fried chicken with honey hot sauce, chilled spiced watermelon, Vermont sharp cheddar cheese waffles, and bourbon maple syrup. My mouth is watering thinking about how good this was.  Our waitress even brought us a couple biscuits and jelly to try too.  We both loved this food so much. I know when we go back to Vegas we will make a point to eat here.

Friday night we went and saw Brittney Spears!  I can finally check that off my bucket list. We both had a blast and if you are in Vegas and grew up listening to her you must go. She definitely knows how to put on a fun show.  Plus I loved all the costume changes!
There are a few more videos I uploaded to my You Tube Channel!  Check them out too!

I finally had an opportunity to wear this black fringe dress! I have been so excited about wearing this dress ever since I bought it.   I paired it with some simple jewelry and my black booties. Can't forget the Brittney hat either!

Saturday we walked around the strip some more and made it to New York New York.  We ate pizza pretty quick and good.  My hubby (made me) talked me into going on the rollercoaster on top of the building.  Just so you know I hate rollercoasters, especially when they go upside down.  Nothing about them is fun to me... but I go with him because he loves them.  Then he made me sit in the very front with him ahhh!!! I was so nervous but I survived! I remember after the big drop asking him if it was over yet ha!

Here is a pic of the roller coaster I found online.

I wore my denim pull on leggings because they are so comfy! I paired them with this fun lace up top!

Afterwards we rested before dinner.  We went to Table 10 which is  Emeril's restaurant and we had a 4 course meal. It was fabulous!  For the first course I had the Winter Citrus Salad and hubby had Emeril's New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, I seriously could eat this salad daily.  For the second course I had the Smokey Mushroom Pasta and hubby had Chicken + Andouille Gumbo.  I was in love with this pasta! I ate every bite and I probably should of saved room for the next two courses.  Course 3 we both had the Filet Mingon and again ate it all.  Then the desert course I had the Emeril's Banana Cream Pie and hubby had the Grand Marnier Chocolate Torte.  We both enjoyed our meal and recommend it if your in town! We were both in a food coma afterwards.

My favorite outfit of the weekend was getting to wear this silver velvet dress! I just love it!!! I paired it with a couple chokers layered and again my black booties.

The next day we had brunch and went by Carlos'Bake Shop for a cannoli before heading to the airport.  I can't wait to go back to Vegas and explore the town even more.

I tried to pack things that could mix and match so that I didn't have to pack as much! I stuck to neutrals and my leopard cross-body for a fun print!
