Gold, Lime and Burlap

Hello Lovelies,

I love Christmas, especially decorating for the holiday.  It's my favorite time of the year!  I wanted to share with you my favorite spots in our cute little house and my DIY decor. I hope you enjoy.

We chose to put our tree in the loft this year.  I absolutely love it there! We also use the loft as our bedroom so I get to fall asleep to the Christmas light. It is so enchanting.  You can also see the tree through the window when you drive up to the house.  That makes me smile everyday.  We have collected ornaments over the years.  Lots of gold, white, silver, lime and natural materials.
The window pane is from our wedding reception and says
"All because two people fell in love"

Fur stockings and tree topper are from Target.

Count down to Christmas!  My crafty mom made us this. She spray painted a frame gold then strung twine across the frame and used clothes pins to hang the numbers.

Here are a few of my favorite accessories.

I bought this metal tray at a local antique store for the coffee table.
I will be using this tray all year long!

(PS- A whole post will be dedicated to that furniture piece in the background in January.
Its amazing and can not wait to share!)

This is the hall table. The frame above it is where we will hang all our Christmas cards.
I made this last year with my dad's help.  I painted the frame gold then we strung the fancy ribbon across the back.  I used reindeer clothes pins I picked up at an antique store.

This is the center piece I created for the dinning table.  I use the star candle holder all year around by changing out the ribbon and candle every season!

I even decorated our desk.  The tree and star I bought at a local antique store. The nativity I have had since I was 3 years old! I added a string of lights to brighten the space.  I am still on the hunt for the perfect desk lamp.

Obsessed with this garland!  I had the idea but haven't had the time to make it so my mother and mother-in-law volunteered to spend an afternoon making it for me.  How sweet is that?!?!

What you need to make the garland are Christmas lights, fabric and scissors,  I chose dark green, a lime gingham print, a white with gold pattern, a solid gold mesh and burlap.  Cut the fabric into strips (about 6'') and tie it onto the strand of lights!  Its so simple and looks perfect!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season!  Thanks for stopping by today.
