Hello Lovelies,
Christmas is just a few days away! Need any easy last minute gift ideas? I have the perfect DIY gifts for your friends and co-workers. I have different versions of my DIY gifts from mocha mix to confetti push pops. I hope a few of my ideas inspire you! I have linked the push pops I used to my blog.
First, we will take a look at the mocha mix recipe my mom gave me last year.
I use a little less sugar and a lot more coffee ;)
Last year, I made the mocha mix and put it in jars (see the picture above). However, this year I tried something new. I found some plastic ornaments at Wal-Mart. Then I filled them with a layer of crushed peppermint, a layer of the mocha mix, a layer of mini chocolate chips, another layer of mocha mix, and then I topped it off with some more crushed peppermint!
For this person, I added a Starbucks gift card instead of making mocha mix.
I also filled these two mugs with instant coffee and hot cocoa mix for the ladies who taught kindergarten Sunday school with me.
Second, I made confetti push pops. I added them to some of the mugs, but ultimately made them for the party in a box I made for my best friends last year.
To make these push pops, I bought mini cake push pops, Washi tape, confetti and card stock. First, I traced the open end of the cake pop on the card stock and cut out the small circle. Then I filled my push pop with the confetti and gently pushed the card stock circle on the end to close off the cake push pop. Then I decorated the plastic tube with Washi tape. It was super simple and so fun!
Here is the party in a box I created for my best friends. I filled the box with confetti push pops, cute party napkins, and 2 party dip mixes. The mixes came in the ornament with the spreader attached. I, of course, gave them a bottle of wine too!
Don't forget the bottle of wine! ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you got a little inspiration from my DIY gift ideas.
Merry Christmas!
XOXO,
Love
Leigh
