Games, Food and Girl Talk at Dave and Busters

Hi Friends!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the sneak peek of the new Dave and Busters in Rogers, Arkansas.  It was my first time to go to a Dave and Busters, so I learned a lot and had so much fun.  My friend/photographer Holly joined me for the Thursday afternoon event.

For this enjoyable afternoon, I decided to mix prints. I wanted to be able to enjoy the games while being stylish.  I decided skinny jeans and my comfy booties were key items to wear. Pairing them with my striped top gave me the right amount of comfort mixed with style.   I chose this playful striped ruffle top from The Haley Boutique paired with black skinnies from Old Navy. I am obsessed with them. To accessorize, I added my favorite leopard bag from RiffRaff, and the tan booties I wear almost daily from Versona. I added my Kendra Scott cuff and statement earrings to complete the look.

Once we arrived and checked in, one of the managers gave us a tour of the place.  This location is a smaller foot print than some of the other Dave and Busters, but it still has all of the energy and atmosphere for a great experience.  We walked through the Million Dollar Midway first.  I learned that a lot of the games are made just for Dave and Busters. The company takes pride in keeping them clean and like new. They have the world’s largest Pac-Man. Now that sounds like a game I would enjoy! I grew up playing Pac-Man on my parents’ Atari.  Dave and Busters has two types of games, redemption games and simulator games, to appeal to a wider client base.  There are definitely games for everyone.   I had a blast with the basketball game and even won a prize out of the “The Big One.”

We checked out all the prizes in the winner circle next.  You can win anything from candy to big ticket items, such as a PS4, an Amazon Echo, Beats Headphones and more.  Your tickets do not expire, so saving them up for a big item would be my route!

Later, we checked out the restaurant side of Dave and Busters. It is geared towards watching “the big game.”  The setup has a cocktail feel with a gorgeous bar and a ton of TVs.  Each TV can play a different channel which I think is so cool. Everyone will be able to watch the sporting event of their choice.  I can imagine cheering loudly for the Razorbacks or Chiefs while eating with my husband and friends.  It would be a blast!

The food was amazing and not just your typical bar food.  I am definitely a bit of a foodie. This is a place I would enjoy going back to and eating again.  They had a wide variety of options for everyone, but my personal favorite was the chicken and waffle sliders.  I mean, I can never pass up waffles!  I had a few other favorites on the menu too.  The BBBacon Burger has 3 types of bacon on it! Anyone that knows me well knows that I love bacon. The Ultimate Mac and Cheese was really good too. It had chicken and bacon in it and of course, lots of cheese. For dessert, I ate the Bananas Foster Pie. OMG, sooo yummy!  I should have gone back for a second piece.

To finish off the bar experience, we had them make some fun nonalcoholic drinks for us.   (It was the middle of the day, and we both had responsibilities to take care of afterwards. Lol.)  I had the Grape Candy Chill with creepy crawly gummy worms.  I loved the grape drink. The flavor was tasty and not too sweet. I definitely think every little kid will want one of these. We also had the Sno Globe.  It is a blue raspberry flavor with a light up ice cube! The entertaining part of this drink is that you can change the color that the ice cube lights up.  I’m pretty sure I need one of these ice cubes in my house to make all my drinks more fun.

Overall I had a wonderful afternoon playing games, eating food, and catching up with Holly.  I can totally see myself going back to Dave and Busters with my husband and friends for a fun night out.  Hope to see you there next time!

12 Days of Gifting

Hi Friends!

I can’t believe it is already the second week of December and only 12 days left till Christmas! Have you finished your holiday shopping? My list is about half way done. I put together 12 of my favorite gift ideas from Impressions. These gifts would be perfect as Christmas presents, hostess gifts or stocking stuffers!

1. C.C. Beanies are a perfect gift since we are heading into the coldest months of the year. I'm in love with this purple color. They come in all different colors so you can find a shade that suits everyone.

2. Hot cocoa and a cute mug!!!  This would make a great hostess or teacher gift. How do you like your cocoa "One marshmallow or two?"

3. Blanket scarves are one of my favorite gifts to give and receive.  They are so warm on those cold days and come in so many color options.  You can wear a different one everyday.

4. Hair ties make great stocking stuffers.  These Emi Jay hair ties look like real pieces of candy.   I wear my coil hair ties non stop and love them! They keep your hair in place all day and do not get tangled in your hair.

5. I love everything plaid this season. This buffalo check Meritt cardigan is super soft and would be a great gift for anyone.

6. Every woman would love one of these delicate Ronaldo bracelets. Each design by Ronaldo has a different meaning. You can pick out a gift to give that is more than just pretty but has a special meaning too.

7. Super cute holiday dish towels and pot holders make perfect hostess gifts.

8. I want all three of these clutches under my Christmas tree.  Add a Impressions gift card inside and you will make someones day! (Hint Hint)

9. Fuzzy pullovers and jackets are a must have so why not gift one to everyone in your family. They will come in handy on those lazy snowy days.

10. These socks make me smile.  I love the bright colors and fun prints. Add these to a stocking for a fun surprise on Christmas morning.

11. The prettiest candles that smell amazing too would be a perfect gift for anyone.

12. All my Arkansas girls out there.. How cute are these?  The sweatshirt is so soft and every fashionista would love this tee.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Hello Friends!

I'm so excited that the Holiday season is upon us!  What are your Thanksgiving traditions?  This year we are going to my in-laws for Thanksgiving lunch.  Then we are going to my parents to watch the Razorback Basketball game and snack some more.  Since I work retail I will definitely be resting up for they craziest day of the year.  Usually I cannot sleep the night before Black Friday because I'm too excited!

Every year I have to find the perfect outfit for Thanksgiving.  I usually go with stylish but comfy.   So, I put together several looks for you all with my friends at Impressions Boutique.

This first outfit is cozy! This jacket is so soft and warm.  I could totally take a nap in it after I'm in a turkey coma.  I paired it with this fun tassel earring, distressed denim,  a  sage colored tee and cute shoes!

This outfit would be perfect for a more formal family dinner.  This little black dress is light, airy and easy to wear.  The lace on the sleeve gives it an extra fun detail.  I paired this with a bold statement necklace and my favorite velvet purse.

I'm completely obsessed with this mustard fringe sweater.  I had a little fun with it and paired it with these wide leg crops!  The leopard shoes complete the look.

This outfit is so classy and would be great to wear all day to multiple family events.   The chenille sweater is so soft and textured with a sheen.  I added this gold beaded clutch and fringe denim for a pop of fun!

This is my favorite outfit.  I love layering because its so versatile.  You never know what to expect in Arkansas with the weather.  It's cold in the mornings and warm in the afternoon.  This plum color is perfect for fall. I love how the neutrals pop with the bold plum too.

This would be a perfect casual comfy look for a low key Thanksgiving.  My favorite part about this over-sized flannel is that it has pockets!!!   I paired this flannel with gold statement earrings, cute booties and a  tee that says "good vibes only."

Last but not least if you are in Arkansas you will have on your red this weekend.  The basketball team is playing in a Thanksgiving Day tournament.  I love the fit of this Woooo Pig Sooie sweatshirt.  I paired with denim leggings by Mud Pie.  I dressed this look up with bracelets and a leopard heel.

All of my outfits are from Impressions Boutique.  I linked their Facebook and Instagram for you.  Make sure to check them out.  They will ship anywhere!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

XOXO,
